Very strange. This is run by Lou Joline, the old guy in the yellow vest. Lou holds records around the country for ultras. He waits until the night before the race "adventure run" to tell the us where it starts and we don't get to see a map until then. The run was a bunch of trails and some road at the end, and its all connected together by "bushwhacking". You take the map a compass and (if your smart) a cell phone and then just go out and do your best to get through it. We added 4.5 miles getting lost in the woods. Longest 50k I've ever done. Ran with Ben Holmes "Kansas City ultra-running legend and 100-miler", Jacqueline Jackson #17 and Mike, a guy from Colorado that we dropped at around 10-miles.

Where did you get the tan? And are you still wearing those battleship Hardrocks? Go lighter to get faster.
I just realized that this post is from 2006?
