Congratulations GENESYS marathoners!
Be proud. You put in the miles and raised your cardiovascular fitness to a level enjoyed by a small minority.
There were many sunrises and sunsets on the trail. You didn't just see them, you participated, lived them first hand. You experienced the change of season rather than viewing it from behind glass. There were days you pushed through the cold, snow, wind, rain, mud. Some of you suffered injuries, sickness and other setbacks, yet you pushed on. You were disciplined and you deserve to be proud.
For four months, you showed true grit. On May 17th you became the athlete, no longer the spectator. You have a priceless life experience of pushing outside your comfort zone and discovering you can do more than once imagined. You are in the 1 percentile. Be proud, you deserve it.
